Here are a selection of ippon throws from international competitions.

Here is an example of a judo contest. The player in white was a member of our club for many years, during which time she was British and Commonwealth Champion and a European Cup medalist. After the opening bows, she quickly gets a grip and throws her opponent for a score (waza-ari) and then into a ground-hold. A second score of waza-ari from the hold gives her an ippon, which wins the contest.
